Over the years, a sustained and long-standing partnership between French and Mexican researchers has played a central role in advancing the study of probability, stochastic processes, and their applications in France and Mexico. These joint efforts have led to numerous collaborative research projects and the organization of several thematic schools. On each occasion, the courses have been taught by internationally recognized French and Mexican scholars, with the goal of offering advanced students and researchers a broad overview of the latest developments in probability theory. With the aim of continuing these activities and further strengthening the ties between both scientific communities, a group of probabilists from the two countries has decided that a new joint event should be organized.

This workshop is part of a broader France–Mexico collaborative program in probability, which also includes a research summer school held one week earlier. A previous meeting took place in 2008 and may be regarded as the first edition of this ongoing cooperative initiative.
